Summary

Manual Discharge Measurement / Repaired staff plate

Details

Sarah Burnett / Lisa Katz 8:30am PST

The staff plate broke off the rock over the weekend during very high flows during the AR. Upon arrival, we found the staff plate under the water just downstream of the stilling well, maybe 10ft away. It was not broken, the concrete anchors came out of the rock and were bent.

We added a third concrete anchor and lowered the staff plate by 5 inches (the anchors went into the sign post 5 holes higher than before). As noted on the last visit, a space has appeared underneath the stilling well, which allowed us to move the staff plate down.

Stilling well was clear on inside.

Staff plate 2.43ft, discharge 37.15cfs. Highest velocities around 3 ft/s. Was getting difficult to wade in faster sections.

Measured water reference level with tape measure at stilling well. 28in from bottom of stream to top of water. 20in from bottom of stilling well to top of water. at 10:20am PST
