Site Description:
Streamgage was installed on the north bank of Perry Creek attached to a boulder using concrete anchors and stilling well. Gage location is approximately 100 yards east of the trail crossing of Perry Creek, below a cascade and pool. Access is via Deerwood trailhead; if the road is dry, let Poppy know you’re headed out a few days in advance. Proceed along trail past soil moisture/meteorology site to lakeshore, continue to trail crossing of creek, then proceed up rocky creek bed (as is safe and appropriate) to site. There is also an overland game trail on river right. A trail camera is installed on the bank opposite the stilling well and staff gage looking down at the staff plate. The HOBO MicroRX station is installed on the same bank as the stilling well just above the floodplain. Follow the conduit leading from the stilling well.
Maximum Wadeable Level: 1.2 ft on pressure transducer doable on 3/6/2024. Wouldn’t want to go much higher than this. Site access becomes very difficult.
