  • Station is located at the edge of an open, leveled off pad on the Piper’s property. The soil is undisturbed dense silty clay throughout the column. There is low grass around the station and taller grass towards the slope off of the pad. There are some distant upslope bushes and trees.
  • Prior to 06/22/2023 this station was a PrecipMet station.
  • Soil5 and Soil6 from the original soil pit dug at installation failed. These sensors were left in the ground and a second pit was dug south/adjacent to the original pit on 23 Apr 2024.
