Martis Creek

The Martis Creek RADMet is co-located with the USACE Martis Snow Pillow Test Lab near Truckee, CA, which has two fenced-off areas and a Rohn tower next to them. The disdrometer and MRR are installed on poles in a wire-fenced area next to the buried snow pillow, the RADMet enclosure and battery backup enclosure are within the chain-link fenced area behind a preexisting enclosure, and the surface Met enclosure and sensors are all installed on the Rohn tower. The station is in a clearing with some low brush adjacent to a small, paved back road. The site is bordered by large pine trees on the south side.
