Summary

SnowVue RMA

Details

Details:

The site was in good condition and there did not appear to be any significant damage to the site. The fuel moisture probe was bent and the wood needs to be replaced. We removed the snow sensor for RMA at Campbell and took the cross arm holding the sensor down. This cross arm is now at YVSC. The bracket that held the cross arm was also repurposed for another location on the tower and thus a bracket is required to remount the snow sensor. The current tipping bucket at SKI is heated so we could swap it out for a non-heated tipping bucket if we want (very very low priority). All future SKI visits should bring a ladder so we can check the tipping bucket. We will need to lower the anemometer down from its 10 meter height next time. Douglas thinks this can be down by just lowering the pole but this should be confirmed. The cell could also be migrated to the tower if needed. Recommended to bring anti-seize and rainX next time. There also is not a small campbell screwdriver on site. Harness is required to climb the towers.
