Datalogger ResetDetails
Team:
Jeri, Tim, Ryan
Details:
The purpose of this trip was to restart the data logger that went down during a remote program update and ensure that the SnowVue was still working. Jeri met up with Tim and Ryan from YVSC in the morning of Nov 21 and drove up together to the SKI site. The roads were very snowy but not impassable. Jeri climbed tower, connected to the data logger via the connection cable, retrieved the old program and updated the program with the new one. The change that was happening which required a remote program update was hard coding the snow depth sensor height in to hopefully increase the accuracy of the measurements. Once the program was updated, the data logger was back online and collecting data. The SnowVue was not clicking or reading data on the data tables when connected to LoggerNet. Called Adolfo and Ava and troubleshooted using the terminal emulator, and determined that the SnowVue was not communicating at all. Jeri unplugged the SnowVue and plugged it back in and it began making the clicking sound and recording data. Jeri climbed off the tower and left the site with the YVSC partners.
Future recommendations:
- Replace fuel moisture sticks – order new ones from Campbell.
- Record the SN for the new SnowVue
